I've decided (after a somewhat harried morning trying to convince a 4 yr old and a 2 year old that aquadhere glue is in fact
NOT white paint) that driftwood pieces look
much nicer in a bowl instead.....
...and that if one really wants a driftwood star, it is much easier to pop into one's local homewares shop and purchase one.
'Nuff said.

Haha, you sound just like me, lol!! So many good intentions...Hmm
Oh that's funny. Having a 2 & 4 year old I completely get it!! I once turned my back to find my son with white paint socks to his ankles, and foot prints all over a room. Apparently they were the Easter bunnies. A bowl of driftwood is very stylish.x
LOL - i have lay-byed a driftwood wreath, didnt think of trying to make one ! xo
A perfect solution I think! Very funny....love the look Kym X
I LOVE the fact you tried to make some driftwood stars!!! Don't be discouraged, I tried to make a rag wreath yesterday...disaster!!! Some things are just meant to be purchased ;) I love your driftwood, such gorgeous colours and it looks perfect in your bowl ~ Txx
I was SO impressed that you would even put craft glue and kids in the same room!?!?
Last year I purchased some great driftwood 'streamers' [not sure what you'd call them] which we ran down the centre of our very large family Christmas table.
Essentially they're little driftwood twigs [no more than 10cm long] which have had a hole drilled in the middle and then threaded onto a long piece of fishing line.
There's a large curtain ring attached to the end so that they can be hung vertically, but I like ours either horizontal on the table or curled up in a wreath shape with star fish adorning.
Have a squiz at Eclectic Style in Thomas St for similar.

Actually, i really like them in the bowl, they look great. And you know how partial I am to a bit of driftwood or two :) Store bought is sometimes the best option, isn't it, especially with two toddlers in the house. K xx
